Readout being unaccurate could be that the sensor side of things on the FRS isn't very good, as I know the dash gauge has always been slated for not being accurate. You should notice a big difference with the Bluefin mate, I'd send the unit back and get it checked.

First thing I did to mine was BF/decat/K&N Gen II and it made a huge difference!
