A CVH engine isn't going to like that very much fella!" Alot of highly rated tuners have said to me to change the oil every 3-4k as the CVH engine is prone to getting gunked up. I change mine every 3k and use 10W 50 silkolene.
The oil you are using does not offer the protection required especially if you are nailing it. It may well have not caused a problem yet, but you will significantly reduce the life span of your engine.
Oil isn't expensive and is simple to do yourself so why skimp on it....? no point spending a load of money on your engine making the car faster if your just going to chuck the wrong oil in.
I meant ive ran millers for 8000 miles not the same oil
So... are u saying i should change the brand of the oil i use or just the spec (for both cars?)
