dont bother witha ZVH fella, theyre pointless conversions imo now zetecs are so cheap!

ive tuned the arse of cvhs when i had my old xr (in the sig) i ended up with an overbored (1640cc) bottom end thatd been lightend and balanced, a 'stage3' heavily ported and hugely skimmed big valve head, piper 285 cam, webber DMTR carb and a few other bits, its was a seriously quick little car, scared the arse off alot of more expensive and powerful cars. i ended up in pocket when i sold it aswell as id bought different engines and stripped and sold them in bits etc etc so got my money back and made extra. makign them go well can be done, but having gone from that spec engine, to a std 1.8 zetec, i wouldnt go back to cvh again. the 1.8 lump was only ever running about 125bhp, but was quicker than the cvh just down to torque and its powerband. the cvh had to be revved hard to do anything.

definatly get yourself a 16v motor mate, you wont regret it 2.0 lumps can be picked up for less than the price of an exhuast system for your cvh these days

also, if you wanna go quick on the cheap, get as much weight out the car as physiclly posible!
