Stick with the ZETEC. Getting 170 bhp is easy, its lighter, more reliable, is already fitted and parts are easier to find and cheaper.
The Zetec is lighter than the I4 but has less power, is no more reliable and can't be made into a 2.3 for peanuts. Parts are available for the I4 to get plenty of power
