The failure was a cracked Block caused by vibration & lots of horses.
A new 200 Block was purchased & after consultation, the Block was machined & assembled to Marks Spec, it was not cheap is all I will say. Its Nikasil lined but not the Mountune designed items. The Block has been built for max strength .
The existing crank was sent back & checked & came back as within new Spec. The Rods & other bits were then sent away for special balancing.
The new Pistons ordered have now been changed again as Mark changed the engine Spec yet again . When all bits were finished they were assembled into the Block & all this happened prior to September 2006.

Mark moved to new premises around this time & i came to a deal with Mark to allow him to get settled in & get stuck into a large backlog of work.

Well I can now report my build will continue in about a fortnight .

Will report back soon on the parts that have been changed since the last engine.

Rod, a restoration thread is not much good without any pictures
