Its funny you should say that because the one I'm referring to above was chipped very very early in its life [I.E. less than 1 year old] and the head gasket went shortly after.
The owner didn't have enough cash to sort it so was keeping it on the road whilst saving to repair it...twice when it was nicked it was recovered the same night because it broke down [I.E. overheating due to head gasket failure].
The head gasket issue on the 3-doors was a known problem and was actually the subject of a recall and fixed FOC with revised head-bolts...
