Just to clarify though, If I were to create any future Topics in a 'How to' illustrated type way they would go into the Archives? Im guessing not....

And that being the case they would not be held like in the archives (as normal posts move down and new ones are entered) thus requiring anybody who might want that information to have to search for it?
I think you missunderstand the word Archive.
The Archive is simply a selection of old posts. They never start life in that room, they should be started elsewhere as normal and if deemed worthy of saving, be moved over there for prosperity at the starters or other members request. If you wish your topics to stay in the normal tech room then thats where they shall stay.
