Default Problem with daughters Punto

My daughter has a 1995 1.1litre Punto.

The car has run faultless but this morning couldnt get it in gear without turning engine off. Its as tho the clutch is not fully disengaging.

The clutch on these is a hydraulic affair with no adjustment.

I have watched the slave cylinder when the clutch pedal is operated and it seems to be working ok. The pedal also feels fine.

As far as I can see it could be;-

1) master cylinder
2) slave cylinder
3) clutch itself

Question is how can i tell which of the above it is without replacing them one at a time?

I will try bleeding the system tomorrow to see if that improves it.

Any help with thi one?

Steve.
