Replacing front wheel bearings on a Sapphire Cosworth 4x4.

Built the hub back up but it's the end cap that goes into the hub that I can't seem to push back in. Tried a punch but the metal is so fragile that it just marks and I have no bearing press. Any ideas? Thanks
