Jesus you are lucky it is even running with the idle so lean.
Forget air leaks, no ENGINE IS GOIN TO RUN THIS LEAN.
Reset your CO to 2% ie 2.0%, then see all your problems gone.
It is really trying to run on air, turn your idle CO screw so that it is 2%, the reason it is needing so many revs is because this moves the flap allowing more fuel.
