In fact get a copy/duplicate and a letter from the previous owner saying that the trader knew the mileage when he bought it, then you have proof the trader is at fault and he deliberatly missrepresented the vehicle.

Even if it had a sticker over the speedo I still think he can get done for it.

If you call him and ask him what he's prepared to do, or demand money in compensation, you could get into trouble.

Contact the trading standards people and insist they do something about him. If you take him to court you can still get your money back + cost I would think.
