This is a REALLY common thing with MFI mate.

Me personally i would recommend checking your TPS is working correctly, the one on my first RS was knackered and i experienced this hesitation, and seemed to cure when i replaced the switch.

The TPS is the sole component that triggers full load enrichment, if it fails the car runs lean!!

A set up probably wouldn't go a miss either!
