Can anyone help me please...

Got a DVI connector on my Dell PC so I can run dual monitors.

I aquirred a DVI to VGA connector converter but it doesnt fit the PC.

The converter looks correct as I know it and have seen before.
This adaptor connector has a long flat pin and 4 pins around it.

The connector on the Dell PC has a shorter flat pin and no pins around it.

Result it wont plug in

From this can I assume there are different types of DVI connection ?


Can anyone shed any light on the matter please ?
