so in redkops theory, anyone who earns under that wage ( about 95% of the country then) shouldnt be having kids as they cant support them

What you get is not the basic Child Benefit that most people are entitled to!
Child Benefit is a tax-free monthly payment to anyone bringing up a child or young person. It is not affected by income or savings so most people who are bringing up a child or young person qualify for it.

£17.45 a week for the eldest child
£11.70 a week for each additional child

You are getting £33.85 over and above basic child benefit and will no doubt be claiming more than £11.70 for the additional child when it appears.
and i have to justify myself to you because of what exactly? as its stated above, families with an income of upto £58k receive CTC, so does that mean that they shouldnt be having kids either because theyre entitled to help?
