Its horses for courses, a friend of mine runs a web farm and does a lot of business with building societies with regards mortgage applications and such like and all his stuff is Apple server based because of the stronger security. But like he says its not that the O/S is particular more secure its just that the spotty, left wing, marxist, anti-capitalist scum of the earth virus developers don't target them because MS is perceived to be the axis of evil

MS Windows has brought stupendous amounts of functionality to your average users desktop with hardware support that was completely unthinkable 15 years ago, most of which people take for granted and only moan when their e-bay digital camera won't connect to the system, due to some shitty piece of driver software!!!

As Apple pioneered the Windows type interface surely they must have had a massive headstart over Mr Gates, but still they managed to fuck it up and if Apple is so dynamic why don't they develop an OS for the PC architecture??

I have been using my desktop PC running XP Professional for 3 years, i use daily MS Visual Studio 6, MS .NET 2003 and 2005, mySQL, MS SQL Server, Internet Information Server 6 etc etc etc and have never had a problem with performance it just works day in day out

and can still somebody tell me where the fecking hell the hash "#" key is on an Apple Mac keyboard
