HID (High Intensity Discharge) Conversions
Hi boys, well this thread I started is growing in both directions, as to weather I do or dont spend £325 pound on a lighting conversion kit for my Cossy.. Some of you have stated that they work fine and I just read the article by Daniel Stern basically saying they Wont work properly if they are retrofitted because they will have they will have to use "Halogen" reflectors and whilst very bright in the fore ground and look great, long distance lighting which IS needed for High speed driving (70 mph of course) HID retro fitted elements wont work, and if I read his article correctly ARE Illegal........ and that is Not what is stated in the 2007 ESP Catalouge.... So who is right and where can I find out, whats what... ESP have got there info from somewhere, or they would not have printed if .................Would they.....!!!!!!!!!!!! Ultimatly driving at the higher end of our speed limit, the more we can see the safe we are... Someone Must know More than us lot in the great world of www. interweb....... as Clarkson put it.. £325 is a lot of money to spend if the end product is No better than the Original.. thanks Wilmot... p.s. Im also looking on other threads for other Makes of Cars to see what info I can find...
