its worth buyin a new one mate, i had two starter motors one of car and one in the shed stripped em both made what was potetially a good starter motor. fixin the problem of it only workin when it wanted to, but a month later it started doin the same thing havin to smack it to make it work. Then it got nicked but its worth buyin a new one
