Had a prob like this on my old 4x4

Turned out to be there was shit/corrosion on the hub centre so the wheels were not seating on the hub properly

Like you I had tried balancing etc,different tyres etc,and all it needed was a bit of emery cloth on the hub and a smear of copper grease and it was sorted

Pissed me off the tyre places I had to balance the wheels/change tyres never noticed it
