the problem is because im reshelling the car its going into a k reg xr4x4
how do i sort the cat and emissions out for the mot as the engine came out of a j plate car which didnt have a cat
this is not a problem if the mot station knows the rules !! if you can prove the year of the engine then it wil be tested as per engine manufacturing limits !!

once the car is ran in its going to ma developments for a map and setup maybe a closed loop lambda control aswell as these are the boys ive heard of a lot of
if your on about closed loop emission control on the std ecu for your J plated car then it needs to got 'MSD' motorsport developments for the closed loop control to be mapped in , that way your emmisions will be more than acceptible for your car anyway !!!
