be very careful about the small end bearings, my mates sister has one that has rattling small end bearings, and its impossible to fix as ford don't supply the gudgeon pins or bearings seperatly from a complete engine - the car is silent until its warm, then makes a right racket, The engine company that diagnosed it has seen several other cars with identical problems, the only way to fix it is a replacement engine. And theese are 60k cars ......
