I've got a V plate Focus TDDI that I use for work (commuting). It's very reliable and reasonably nippy for what it is and pretty economical too. It's a bit noisier than the newer ones admittedly, but it doesn't cost me much to run it and I do a lot of miles (current 18k a year just commuting), so if it was going to be annoying it would have been by now.
