You will see an improvment in the pics that you will get from your camera as it will be fixed and not hand held.
Are you using it to do Stills or will you be putting it in Video mode? If you do Video I would suggest you get a bullet camera set up.
I can Highly reccomend FastFilms, I use there Bullet cameras and suction mounts on the out side of mine and my mates cars.

I want to take videos not pictures...
If I went for the bullet cam is it just a case of ensuring my camera has the correct input capacity and then mounting it etc... What about sound?
Is a 2GB card going to get me very far?
