Thanks for that, I think that clears everything up.

As mentioned in earlier posts I unfortuantly did not strip the engine down, I'll have a dig around the boxes in the garage for the said Items. I cant remember seeing a blanking place and i might have the auxillary device (what ever it looks like) but not sure on the adaptor.

Edited to add, I've found the auxilarry air adaptor on a spare inlet manifold I had. Why didnt I check there first
