hello ive got a problem with a cavalier 1993 2.0i
weve narrowed it down to do with something electrical with the pump, there is no power getting to it, weve got power to the relay and out of it so thats working fine, the pump is fine.
the car is just turning over and not starting, we connected a battery to the pump its an in tank pump, got the pump going turned it over and it fires up fine and runs. as soon as you disconect and put the proper plug back in it will tick over but try and rev it and it stops.
weve traced the wiring back as far as possible all conectors are fine near the pump and relay.
i carnt find any fuses that have anything to do with it to check.
i can bell out the cables batween the pump connector and the ones under car but not belling out from that connector to relay is there something inbetween that could be stopping it.
it looks like the car did have an alarm fitted standard. there is sensors above the door, in the bonnet there is a few wires at the backto the right that look like they could have been connected to an alarm.
the car was working fine for weeks since bourght and then one day just stopped going along a straight road at 30.
