Was a good post on the Pug board I use suggesting having a cage in a road car with no helmet was VERY dangerous...

Spot on, seen lots of cars with slightly naff, but I guess functional pipe lagging!

WRC cars use fancy stuff like this lagging, but then they drive with helmets a lot of the time.

Personally I will soon have 3 caged up cars, and apart from a bit of padding I won't be worrying about it! I'd rather have the protection a cage gives than nothing at all.

Especially as 2 of the cars are flimsy 205s
