Close enough to go out to Liverpool on a night out but you dont get theiving scousers on your doorstep (or anywere else for that matter)
Close enough to get to the M58, M6 , M62 and M57
Close enough to get to Wigan on a night out but no pie eaters everywere
Close enough to get to Manchester but no Mancs everywere
Close enough to get to Preston but no offshore companions everywere
Close enough to get to Southport but no smackheads everywere
Loads of good B Roads to go "Countryside rallying" down
Loads of good secluded spots to take the Mrs for some Al Fresco shagging, especially Cleives Hills
And also handy for St. Helens, Warrington, Chester and Blackburn / Bolton.

So in a nutshell Lancashire rocks
