Going to start to strengthen the floor with some 25mm x 25mm box section to increase the torsional stiffness. This will also allow us to make the engine and gearbox mounts integral to the chassis as opposed to the horrible bolt on ones it came with.
Going to strip the old engine down to just the block and use that and the gearbox as a dummy set up to align the mounts/propshaft. The engine was previously mounted quite high which allowed the standard sump to be retained. However this will be replaced by a big wing alloy 2wd Cossie one. We are going to move the engine back a few inches as well but it is being built to allow us to
slot in a nice YB eventually
