you don't really want to mess too much with the steering geometry and it's very easy to mount the engine directly to the chassis rails. you will need to do something with the sump though, as it normally sits behind the x-member
I have deceided thats what im going to do now

Luckly a i know a chap who can weld alloy so the sump shouldnt be much of a problem, may have to change the oil pick up pipe? (never had the sump of my cossie lump)
