Someone posted that money can't buy you sucess but Chelski have proved it can. They had only won one top flight title in 100 years and had not won it for 50 years, now they have won it 3 times it total.

Personally i don't think Mourinho is a top manager like Wenger, Ferguson or even Benetez. Sorry i just don't. I think any good manager on club limits like Hughes, Alardyce and Pearce would do well with a team spending around £180m in the last three summers. I mean £60m per year and he can't win more? Ferguson is showing him up this year having actually made money from transfers, as he did last year. Carrick came in but one of the most prolific strikers ever went out. Again Wenger, doing amazing considering the difference in what has been spent. Winning at Portugal is with one of the 2 or 3 big clubs is hardly that special. Its only really ever been Benfica or Porto, maybe Sporting that win. That CL sucess as Mourinho said, anyone in it can win it takes a lot of luck and morale as well.

For me Vialli and Gullit were the best they had, they managed to win silverware with aging stars who had come over to finish up their careers. Desailly, Zola etc or cheaper stars. They spent at times but not like now, they had foreigners but they played with passion, look at Dimatteo in the cup finals.

Ballack doesn't care and even Drogba who screams when he scores seems to do it for himself, his ego, not the shirt or the team. When he came back from injury last season saying to the fans "i'm back, i'm back" When in reality he was a flop for the pricetag.

The BIG clubs (note i said clubs not teams/squads) like Arsenal, Liverpool and United actually spend what they earn rather than hand outs, I'm not sure Chelskis profits would cover the wage bills. Kenyon, ShevFlopko, Ballack and now Drogba all on mega money per week. Thats why people show lack of respect. The likes of the clubs mentioned have been built up over time. They have history, endless honour lists, legendary players that Chelski simple can not go back in a Bill and Ted phone both and buy.

Those who thought after the 1st or second title that Chelski would win about 10 or 15 in a row were obviously deluded. I don't think they realise how hard it is to dominate like Liverpool or United have. Even Arsenal who have done fantastic with Graham and Wenger etc have not managed it like those. Those 3 clubs are just too big to fade away. At least Liverpool showed them in 2004 again mocking Mourinho and his transfer budget.

And now Moaniho is crying because he can't spend more on defenders, cry me a river. All he spends he should have more than enough cover for Terry. A keeper is a keeper, everyone has had a crisis look at United, had it for years. Lets not forget Chelski only beating United by 8 points in the end last season and for a while the Media was going crazy again saying its back on, thats after a Keane broken leg, Smith put in midfield then a snaped leg, Scholes blind, Giggs out for ages, etc etc. It happens.

The difference was United brought in only Park and Van der sar, £6m and sold more than that. Yet they still covered all those injury lists.

Don't forget, Chelski and Roman is nothing special buying the league, Blackburn and Jack walker did it all before, winning it off the big clubs and buying up the big strikers and players. Shearer and Sutton.
