I doubt very much its anything gone, HT leads and plugs should last a LOT longer than that.

However one thing i would say, starting the car up and letting it idle isn't really doing it any good, it wouold be better to just leave it sat and disconnect the battery, and start it less often and take it for a good drive so it gets up to temperature and doesnt foul the plugs up from the cold start mixture.

Am i right in thinking you compression tested it last time?
