I can only apologise for the ill judged selection of the word "weasel".
In reply to your question, no I do not know you. Therefore the use of the word "weasel" was inappropriate.
With the benefit of hindsight it was unfounded and was a personal slur and because of your obvious discontent I apologise. I did not mean to cause you any unnecessary distress.
It was made hastily, I can, if you wish withdraw the word "weasel" so as not to affect your future interests.

I hope you can forgive this shortcoming and recognise my genuine regret.
