Glad you got it sorted mate, those connector pins are a right pain, had loads of problems with bad connections on mine a while ago and had to get them re-soldered

The last time i removed a dash from a mk3 i found it just about squeezed past the ignition barrel, just have to be careful with your fingers as i squashed mine when easing it out and they bloody well hurt
