no need on stg 1 Paul leave the amal valve alone..
its not the coil just a boost spike blowing spark out !!!! re-gap the plugs .6mm
It should hold 1 bar and spike a little higher
Tonight it wasn't raining when I got home so I whipped the plugs out and they were gapped to 1mm
When I fitted them a couple of months ago I didn't have any feeler gauges so I fitted them thinking that Ford would have pre-gapped them
They are now gapped to .6mm
I've added some pre-load to my standard actuator to see if it brings the spike down and that appears to work. There's still a slight misfire when it spikes but once that comes down it's great. When the engine cools down I'm going to re-fit my -31 actuator and use half a whole pre-load and try again.
