That looks like the Rally Design item I bought years back for my S2. Price is similar and holds same bits inside.

Mine definately got rid of the sloppiness in gear changing and shortened the shift. Felt a lot more positive and when I took it out when the car was for sale and refitted another Mk4 item, it took me ages to get used to a standard stick as everything seemed in the wrong place.

jimmylaud If you're on a budget and can fit the kit yourself (only minimal work needed: remove whole gearshift system, then drill & pin your stick to accept the plate (stick length needs to be extended: hence the drill & pin bit)) then it's a worthwhile mod. If you have the money ot spend on a B&M kit, then get that.
