My car has some sort of similar problem, it keeps shorting and melting the wiring loom that connects to the stalks on the steering colum, its done it three times, 1st time only a little puff of smoke and i ignored it, 2nd time there was big damage to this part of the loom and had to get this section of loom out of the breakers to do a transplant, 3rd and last time only two wires were damaged, auto sparkie has done another repair but now i too have no head lights

Can anybody shed any light?
