Just bought a Burton 1700 race engine complete in pieces, with twin 45's for £400

problem is, the accrolite forged pistons have been very slightly damaged at the thinnest parts of the bowl walls.

a new set is £530 from burtons, so i was wondering if i could get away with removing the weak parts on all the pistons, then having them balanced.

alternatively does anyone have a suitable set of pistons (1600 x-flow +90thou) that don't mind 9000 rpm, 12:1 comp ratio and the bastarding amounts of fuel supplied by mr & mrs webber that they can sell me?
