Outlaw ownership I say. I just hope they see the conviction through and that his family never forgive him.

Im sorry but thats such a load of bollocks, as are alot of the comments on this thread.
I bet you everything i own that there have been more attacks on children from little dogs like jack russels, yorkshire terriers etc as they are very quick to get pissed off and bite. I know cause i had one hang off my nose when i was little.
You just dont hear about them cause a jack russel or whatever cant do as much damage as a pit or staff . Also the media are just wankers and pick on these types of dogs .
Alot of my mates have Staffs with small children including my gf's family. Her little sister who is only 4 now has grown up with their staff and never had any problems at all. She can swing on his tail try to rid him or whatever and the worst he will do is lick her. Staffs are very chilled dogs and dont get aggravated easily and love children.
Bet you didnt know the Staff is one of the only dogs that the Kennel Club will say is very good with children.

Temperament
From the past history of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the modern dog draws its character of indomitable courage, high intelligence, and tenacity. This, coupled with its affection for its friends, and children in particular, its off-duty quietness and trustworthy stability, makes it a foremost all-purpose dog.
