And how many places in the UK can you go and look at 4 decent MkII Escorts in one place and make your choice... not many I can tell you.

What you seem knarked about is the fact that you can no longer afford an Escort... but thats just the law of economics...

This fella isnt driving up the price of the cars, the enthusiasts and more over the Irish Rally boys are pushing the prices sky high.

If you want to be angry at anyone be angry at Rally people.

There was a bloke on the Isle of Mull Rally this year binned a MkII, but he wasnt that bothered because he had another mint shell waiting at home.

If you are going to spunk £40k building a rally car whats another couple of grand on the price of a good shell ?

Plus if you've ever been to any of the Old School meets at the Ace Cafe or Boxhill you will see that there is such a buzz for Old School stuff, my Anglia stands me in at nearly £4k more than my 3 door...

Remember, these are screen prices aswell... and who goes into a dealer and pays screen price ?

So by the time you've waved your wad at him and chipped £500 off him, then I wouldnt begrudge the bloke a £1500 profit on the car, especially as he's warranting it for 3 months too.

You could easily spunk £500 driving round the country looking at shitters that people advertise as mint and arent.

Sometimes you just have to pay the money.
Agreed! I just wont be paying him the money
