Ive come to the point in the conversion where im not sure which direction to go with regards to the engine.
Hers my pros and cons of each:
C2 Engine Pros:
1) Keeps its part of PSA group
2) First ever front mounted rwd TU engine I believe
3) Light weight
4) keeps it in the 1600cc bracket for 1/4miling
5) ive spent a lot of money getting it to the state of tune its in at the mo
6) progressive power/torque with s/c
C2 Engine Cons:
1) Gonna cost 1.5k to convert to RWD format
2) Will be in a high state of tune so frequent rebuilds etc
Buying a Cossie Engine Pros:
1) More Power
2) Cheaper
3) More tuning companies
4) Fit straight in without custom mounts, bellhousings etc
Cossie Engine Cons:
1) Heavier
2) Unknown Quantity as far as my knowledge is concerned
3) Turbo Lag
4) Will be difficult to shift my C2 engine
However ive managed to flog enough of the C2 engine to go with the cossie lump now
a couple of additions to my growing parts list,
someone buy my pug/citroen/rotrex/omex bits!!!
