the only variable is whether your graphics card has a DVI connector, older style VGA D-sub connector or both?
The monitor has both DVI and D-sub, so you just need the cable to match your graphics card. If you have both on the graphics card, then choose DVI.
Not worth arguing about a monitor cable IMO, they are so cheap it will cost you more in bus fares to go and get one
