8 injectors are used for 3 reasons......


1) BLING EFFECT

2) 8 LOW FLOW CHEAP INJECTORS CAN BE USED AS EARLY SHONKY SOFTWARE
COULD NOT DRIVE GREYS PROPERLY .

3) USING EXTRA 4 INJECTORS GIVES BETTER MIXTURE FORMATION DUE TO MORE TIME TO
MIX WITH AIR AS IT IS FURTHER AWAY FROM THE CYLINDER.
THIS DOES GIVE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN BHP (perhaps 5-8 BHP in 500 BHP)

The disadvantages.....

More cost, more electronics, more wiring, more software, more fuel lines and less space under the bonnet.


I personally prefer the BIG 4 route but, 8 injectors are just as effective if set up
properly.
