It is a pain in the arse on the escos! - Damo & DaveEscos suggested dropping the cross-member.

When I replaced mine I removed the mounting arms and on right side the oil filter & assembly to gain access to that arm (the 3 door & saff's dont have the larger oil filter assembly).
