I have wireless set up at home, basically i have a wireless router, which is not connected to a PC, my PC & laptop access via wireless and run fine.

I have aquired a Wireless access point, and a very good Network CCTV camera, is there an easy way I can get the access point installed in my garage, then get this to see my wireless router, then connect a hub to the access point (the access point has 4 ports so ) then i can connect up my network camera to the hub

is this possible? or does the access point have to be wired to my router to become an access point?
