Take the drive shafts out!! They catch the crossmember (especially the passenger side) and stop you from lifting the engine high enough to remove/replace the mounts. rest of it's a peice of piss to do, just remove what you need to get at the nuts and bolts (boost hoses etc)...

I would only change one side at once though and I seem to recall having to unbolt the drivers side mount off the block (or at least slacken it off).
