I'd agree with all the points above, I personally would prefer a S1, but in your circumstances a S2 is the best way foreward.
Just make sure you get a decent solid one. I've seen far too many mates pay £3k for an RST and it needing loads n loads of welding for the MOT, because they didn't check underneath properly. One of my mates paid £3.5k for his, looked good on the outside, but closer inspection deemed it for the scrappies at the next MOT as it was that rotten, he was gutted.
If you see a solid one with a receipted engine rebuild for £3k, snap it up. That's what I did, I thought it far better to buy one that has a SOLID shell that needs a respray, than to buy a pretty one that needs loads of welding!
