In my opinion of having to fix the things, the front wheel drive vans break more. Especially with starter, water pump, power steering pump and gear change cable or remote issues.
saying that, i haven't done a water pump or pas pump for a while so maybe ford have that sorted. The starters need a shit shield as the are at the front of the engine and get all the weather as you drive along.
Imo the rear drivers are the better van for reliability. I have a 137ps model which is superb on the motor way and hills. Even when loaded up. I have found that the smaller engined vans are more thrash able though as the clutch is lighter and they rev up quicker.
The numbers on the side of the van doors are reference to the weight and power. T350 means its a 3.5 ton gross vehicle weight van. T240 is the smallest i think and the T425 is the biggest. The other number is the bhp output of the engine. T300 upwards are rear wheel drive and below are front.
