No your not mate. You simply dont have teh instructions that teh mapper gave. Amal restrictors, peak boost and held boost are all down to teh mapper as teh amal has its own MAP.
Get it wrong, bye bye engine. Thats why all decent conversions come with comprehensive instructions, or at least bloody well should do.
It's a potential £5k disaster waiting to happen if you just meddle with boost.
