Yes im sure it will be a good idea. But only if you are ever going to ge the oil up to the tempreture that the cooler opens.

Also watch when you first fit the cooler as it will take alot of oil away from the engine when it first opens. So make sure you have plenty oil in the engine and top it up as soon as the thermostat opens.

Also dont run an oil cooler without a thermostat. You dont want to have your oil too cool.
