I was given an ecotek valve by our local motorfactors when they first came out to test... I was still at uni so it was probably '99-2000? I had it on a little 106 xsi and in all honesty it made no difference that you would notice

There was probably a slight increase in fuel efficiency but I like killing trees so IMO thats a bad thing
