it is so easy to point out issues with the way in which others present communication rather than examine and resolve these same issues within ourselves. It is somewhat ironic that some complaining in this thread is not done in a manner which is grammatically correct.. Perfect grammer has never used abbreviated terms such as can't, did'nt, don't and so on.... yet this seems acceptable, however it is unclear regarding what level of bastardization of the English language we are ok with.
Its a fact that language and communication evolves otherwise we would currently be sitting in caves grunting at one another and perhaps the text message generation are continuing this evolution.
Is what you say less important than how you say it ?
I personally believe these 'language' issues are often related to the communication tool of that time and because we are now in 'txt' generation many of the words miss-spelt are done so because this is how they are presented in 'txt' usually across a mobile phone network
words such as 'Phone' or 'With' is often expressed in writing, job applications, letters and other media the same way as though sms or mobile phone text as in 'ill fone u l8ter n c wot we doin or who we r owt wiv' .... its a feature of the mobile phone generation
I do not simply recall being subject to such a poor standard of written communication prior to the mass uptake of cheap mobile phones
